An Update on the message above
I have recently been in touch with Dorothy's family from her second marriage she is still with us at the tender age of 93 I did a display of information I had gathered about Thomas in our local library in Chorley Lancashire and one of her Daughters saw the display and told her of it. She visited the library a number of times taking her family with her and since the visits has talked and told her family the tales of her life with Thomas, stories they had never heard her talk of her daughter reported back to me that she is so very happy and is enjoying recalling her short but happy time with Thomas.

I have recently received news of Dorothy Eva Birkner 1901 - 2000 Granddaughter of Dorothy Myerscough 1854 - 1892 from Barbara a New York a descendant of Joseph and Mary Ann Myerscough nee Briggs. I don't put on the site all the news I received about non Myerscough named descendants.
However I do keep it all on my own Family tree programme and I do have quite alot about the Birkners
I was not aware that Dorothy had become a Nun and her religious name was Sister Mary Cornelia she was almost 99 years of age when she died at Nazareeth Living Centre t St Louis Missouri.
If you need any information regarding descendants please contact me and see if I can be of any help
Thank you Barbara for keeping us up to date with your findings
