Charles, of 3a Great George Street Salford was a compositor when he joined the Royal Fusiliers on the 31st May 1915 aged 26. 
He cites his father, John Myerscough, as his next of kin. 
He is described as being 5ft 61/2 inches tall, girth 37 inches. 
He had two small moles on his left arm. 

He joined the Royal Fusiliers in Manchester he served abroad
and was discharged on the 24th October 1916 
as being no longer physically fit for war service having served one year and 148 days.
He served with the British Expeditionary Force
from 14th November 1915 to 12th May 1916.
Charles Myerscough was awarded the
15 Star Medal, the Victory Medal for service in World War One. 
Charles also received the Silver War Badge  number 29.266
