Notes

John enlisted on the 25th August 1914 at Lancaster at the stated age of 19.
the son of Lawrence and Margaret Ann Myerscough nee Derbyshire
He was 5ft 3.3/4 inches, weight 123lbs, his chest was said to be 34 inches. 
His complexion was noted as fresh, He had tattoos on both forearms. His religion was noted as Roman Catholic.
He was discharged on the 31st October 1914 as being not likely to become an efficient soldier having served 68 days.
