John Bradford Myerscough

Notes
John was the son of Richard B. and Fanny Myerscough,
of 4, Shippey St., Withington, Manchester.
Native of St. Helens, Lancs.
He died on the 17th June 1917 aged 19.
2/4th Battalion Territorial Force
Sept 1914 Formed at Blackburn and then moved to Southport to join the 198th Brigade of the 66th Division.
May 1915 Moved to Burgess Hill, Sussex and then to Crawley and on to Crowborough.
March 1916 Moved to Colchester. 02 March 1917
Mobilised for war and landed at Havre and engaged in various actions on the Western Front including;
The Operations on the Flanders Coast,
The Battle of Poelcapelle,
The Third Battles of Ypres. 19 Feb 1918
John Myerscough was awarded the
Victory Medal & British War Medal for service in World War One
